Job Description

We are currently seeking an L&D & Shared Service Specialist - People Operations to join our vibrant People Operations team. This is a temporary maternity cover for approximately one year starting from October. 

In this hybrid role, you'll combine operational People Operations support with Learning & Development coordination and facilitation, playing a key role in delivering a great employee experience across our hotels and area support offices.

The position is based in one of our Area Offices in Copenhagen, Oslo, or Stockholm. However, we are also open to candidates based in Madrid.

 

Key Tasks & Responsibilities

As our L&D & Shared Service Specialist, you will support both the day-to-day delivery of People Operations services and the execution of learning and development initiatives across Northern Europe.

Learning & Development

  • Deliver engaging classroom and virtual learning sessions for employees and managers across Northern Europe.
  • Support the development and execution of the annual Learning & Development action plan, ensuring consistency in the delivery and application of learning initiatives.
  • Coordinate and monitor mandatory compliance training, including Health & Safety, Food Safety, Fire Safety, First Aid and other statutory learning requirements.
  • Maintain Learning Management System (LMS) records, reporting and training compliance.
  • Monitor enrolment, attendance and completion of learning programmes, producing reports and insights where required.
  • Train and certify hotel trainers to deliver Radisson Hotel Group corporate learning programmes.
  • Promote learning opportunities, onboarding programmes and development initiatives across the business.
  • Partner with General Managers, Heads of Department, Area Support Office teams and Administrative Unit Managers to identify learning needs and implement development initiatives that support business performance.
  • Travel occasionally within Northern Europe to facilitate training and support learning initiatives.

People Operations Shared Services

  • Provide first-level support and guidance to people managers on People Operations policies, procedures and processes through our ticketing system, escalating complex or sensitive cases where appropriate.
  • Provide administrative support throughout the employee lifecycle, including recruitment administration, preparing employment contracts and offer letters, initiating employee changes in Workday, posting and closing vacancies in the ATS, and supporting compensation and employment documentation in line with company policies and local legal requirements.
  • Support managers throughout the onboarding process by preparing onboarding documentation, coordinating system access, setting up Workday onboarding journeys, ensuring compliance documentation is completed and creating a positive onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Support the annual performance management cycle by initiating performance objectives in Workday, monitoring completion rates and producing reports and dashboards.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation in accordance with company standards and data protection legislation.
  • Support benefits administration, leave management and other People Operations activities as required.
  • Collaborate closely with Country People Operations Business Partners and the wider Shared Services team to continuously improve processes and employee experience.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience within Human Resources, People Operations, Learning & Development or a similar role.
  • Experience from the hotel or wider service industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of employment law, HR administration and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with Workday, a Learning Management System (LMS) or similar HR systems is an advantage.
  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills with the ability to engage different audiences, both virtually and in person.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to balance operational administration and learning activities simultaneously.
  • Service-minded with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across countries and teams.
  • Fluent in English and in one or more Scandinavian languages (Danish, Norwegian or Swedish)

Location: This position is based in one of our Area Offices in Copenhagen, Oslo, or Stockholm. However, we are also open to candidates based in Madrid.
