Job Description
The Strategic Sourcing Coordinator supports sourcing activities across assigned categories while acting as a key liaison between GPP, hotel owners, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. In addition to coordinating sourcing projects and supplier relationships, the role contributes to the promotion and expansion of GPP services by engaging with hotel owners, identifying commercial opportunities, and communicating the value and benefits of GPP solutions.
Education: Bachelor’s degree required, preferring Economics, Business, Engineering, or related field.
Main functions:
· Assist and lead sourcing projects and support on end‑to‑end E-Sourcing activities: spend analysis, market assessment, RFIs, RFPs and RFQs, negotiations, supplier awarding and contract implementation.
· Effectively negotiate pricing, contracts and SLAs with suppliers to ensure optimum costs and reliable supply according to the GPP Corporate Procurement Policies and Procedures.
· Manage suppliers´ performance with a focus on continuous total cost control and performance, defined improvement and innovation.
· Maintain supplier and contract databases
· Assist with procurement dashboards and reporting tools
· As a team member of the Regional GPP Procurement team, contributes actively to the strategic transformation of the procurement function within the GPP Strategic Sourcing organization in the Area with primary focus on costs, innovation and effectiveness.
· Support in establishing and maintaining relationships with suppliers partnering to solve problems and ensure high quality, reliable sources of supply and information.
· Support hotels in day-to-day requests
· Continuous support to Operations team in the area, increasing compliance.
· Assist with other procurement and administrative activities as required
· As a team member of the Regional GPP Procurement team, contributes actively to the strategic transformation of the procurement function within the GPP Strategic Sourcing organization in the Area with primary focus on costs, innovation and effectiveness.
· Work very closely with the Corporate GPP Procurement team in HQ, implementing global contracts in the Area.
· Build and maintain positive relationships with hotel owners and key stakeholders.
· Promote the value proposition of GPP programs to hotel owners, franchisees, and third-party hotel operators
Qualifications
· Strong analytical and commercial mindset.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
· Good organizational and time-management abilities.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
· Proactive
· Able to work within a global and highly matrixed organization
· Excellent English and German communication skills.
· Curiosity and willingness to learn
· Interest in Strategic Sourcing, negotiating and sales
The position report directly to the GPP CESEE Strategic Sourcing Director.
