- Attend to guest complaints without delay.
- Check & replace fused bulbs in guest room corridors and fire stairways.
- Attend to annual maintenance of rooms.
- Maintain a stock of fast spares for guest rooms in the workshop.
- Totally responsible for implementing all works connected with the Room care maintenance program. This includes running repairs to all system in the guest rooms including air conditioning and plumbing.
- Carry out repairs to carpets and wallpaper and should lay new carpets as and when necessary.
- Carry out painting works as necessary.
- To have a clear understanding of the hotel’s Fire drill, the Staff Handbook and all regulations stated therein.
- Observe and enforce the Health, Safety & Hygiene regulations.
- To have a particular regard to the safe operation of all Plants & equipments and to ensure the safety of guest and staff at all times.
- To observe the regulations regarding guest contact and entry to guest rooms.
- To ensure that the highest standards of cleanliness is maintained in all areas and to liaise with other departments in this matter.
- Attend to the daily assignment sheet.
- Attend to service requests.
- Attend to morning briefing and evening briefing at the end of the day.
- Attend to the Engineering Department monthly meeting.
- Attend to the Training program whenever requested.
- To carry out any other duties that may be assigned by Foremen / Supervisor/ Superiors.
- Practices ‘Yes I Can’ attitude
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a maintenance or technical role, ideally in a hospitality environment.
Hands-on experience with hotel maintenance systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general repair work.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling emergency maintenance tasks efficiently.
Strong technical knowledge in areas such as HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
Ability to troubleshoot and repair a variety of systems and equipment quickly and effectively.
Knowledge of hotel safety standards and regulations, ensuring the hotel meets all necessary codes.
Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
Ability to operate and repair a wide range of tools and machinery.
