We are now looking for Night Receptionists to join our brand-new team at Radisson RED Reykjavik.
At Radisson RED, the energy doesn’t stop when the sun goes down. As a Night Receptionist, you are the face of the hotel during the night - creating a calm, safe and welcoming environment while keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
In true RED style, this role goes beyond the desk. You are a Front of House Host at night, balancing guest interaction, responsibility and independence, while owning the hotel experience during quieter hours.
Job Description
At Radisson RED Reykjavik, Front of House is the heart and soul of the hotel. As a Night Receptionist (Front of House Host as we call it), you bring reliability, attention to detail and a strong sense of responsibility. You are comfortable working independently, taking ownership of the Front of House during the night while ensuring every guest feels looked after.
You thrive in a calmer environment but are always ready to respond when needed - whether it’s a late arrival, a guest request or ensuring everything is set for the next day. You will:
- Take ownership of the Front of House operation during the night shift, ensuring a smooth and secure environment
- Welcome late arrivals and manage check-in and check-out processes efficiently and professionally
- Act as the main point of contact for guests overnight, handling requests and enquiries with care and confidence
- Perform night audit procedures, ensuring accuracy in reports and system updates
- Ensure the safety and security of guests, team members and the property
- Prepare the hotel for the next day, supporting a smooth handover to the morning team
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the Front of House and public areas
- Step in to support other areas when needed, contributing to the overall guest experience
- Handle any challenges or unexpected situations with a calm, solution-focused approach
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a Front Office or guest-facing role is beneficial
- Ability to work independently and take responsibility during night shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- A calm, professional and solution-oriented mindset
- A positive, Yes I Can! attitude
- Strong communication skills
- Basic numerical and administrative skills
- Flexibility to work night shifts
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage
