ABOUT THE ROLE

Kigali Convention Centre & Radisson Blu Hotel is seeking a detail-oriented and commercially minded Group Sales Manager to manage and execute group room bookings for one of the leading MICE destinations in Africa.

This role is critical in ensuring accurate handling of group room blocks, seamless coordination with Sales, Events, Front Office, and Finance, and effective support of the hotel’s group revenue strategy.

All duties are performed in line with Radisson Hotel Group standards and brand guidelines.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and control group room blocks from confirmation through arrival.
• Act as the main contact for meeting planners regarding group room requirements.
• Load and maintain:
  • Group rates and room block
  • Cut-off dates and billing instructions
  • Rooming lists, amendments, and cancellations
• Work closely with Revenue Management to maximize room revenue and protect inventory.
• Monitor group pick-up and release unutilized rooms in line with agreed timelines.
• Coordinate with Sales, Catering & Events, Front Office, and Finance to ensure smooth group arrivals.
• Attend group pre-conference meetings and internal commercial meetings.
• Handle group-related guest feedback professionally and efficiently.
• Support the Reservations team during peak periods as required.

REQUIRED PROFILE

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in hotel reservations, group reservations, or a similar role.
• Experience within an international hotel brand is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good understanding of group bookings, room blocks, and billing procedures.
• Proficiency in Opera PMS, Microsoft Office, and reservation systems.
• Strong communication and coordination skills.
• A positive, team-oriented attitude with a “Yes, I Can!” service mindset.
