Job Description

As the Country Director of Sales, Norway & Iceland you infuse our dynamic Sales Team with an unparalleled level of strategic vision, a results-driven mindset, and an unwavering passion for elevating client interactions. Your role as a leader is pivotal in steering our sales efforts to new heights, and your ambition sets the tone for achieving exceptional outcomes.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead and oversee all sales initiatives for the hotels in Norway and support the independent teams in Iceland
  • Coach, mentor, and motivate the sales teams to achieve outstanding results.
  • Strategically drive total profitable revenue and market share growth for the assigned country.
  • Ensure that all opportunities (all segments) for the country are optimized from, to and within the region. 
  • Comply with the country guidelines, business plan, Radisson Hotel Group corporate guidelines and service concepts. 
  • Communicates the individual hotel needs and strategies towards the different commercial departments within RHG to ensure understanding and drive of relevant business
  • Drive and work with the hotels to drive strategic commercial activity.
  • Account management of own assigned accounts – both existing and new.
  • Understand the needs of each hotel within the region to develop and support with the strategy to meet their needs.
  • Work alongside the 3rd Party Intermediary (TMC-PCO) where appropriate to ensure account development is properly implemented at all levels.
  • Drive performance and market share from all country, regional and global accounts.
  • Represent Radisson Hotel Group at meetings as requested to support both sales and the region.
  • Attend major travel functions and trade shows to promote the hotels within the region.
  • Maximize the revenue and growth of the portfolio of hotels by directing the revenue generating activities in accordance with the business plan.
  • Identify and drive new business opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to maximize sales potential.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a leadership role within sales from hospitality or a related industry and with a strong track record of driving performance.
  • Proven track record in driving key hotel specific segments – Leisure, MICE, Corporate and M&E
  • Commercially astute, highly organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ambitious and results-oriented, with a passion for increasing productivity and sales volume.
  • Excellent communicator and negotiator, with the ability to build lasting partnerships.
  • A clear thinker with attention to detail, able to develop and execute sales strategies effectively.
  • Passionate about creating a positive impact and enhancing the hotels’ reputation within the community
  • It’s all about the experience and the sale, so say Yes I Can!  
  • Fluent in English as well as Norwegian
