Job Description

 

The Chinese Relations Manager role is a temporary position and will support the RHG Executive Team in managing relationships with our Chinese Shareholders, playing a key role to enable our teams to deliver remarkable communication to our Chinese Shareholders. The person will also ensure translation of documents from English to Chinese and vice versa, as needed and appropriate.

To be successfull, the individual shall be friendly, professional and flexible to support the RHG Executive Team as needed. They will have a deep knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, procedures within China culture and protocol.

 

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as a subject matter expert in broader discussions about linguistic and cultural specifications.
  • Champions in Chinese protocol to support Executive Team to organize, manage and follow up meetings with our Chinese Shareholders.
  • Execution of translations in support of the Executive Committee members, including legal documents, government documentation, direct mail, presentations, etc...
  • Conduct translations ensuring thorough quality that will result in consistent and accurate translations.
  • Provide additional support in the production of internal resources (project descriptions, style guides, material, Third Party Provider guidelines, etc.) as needed or requested.
  • Responsible for listening to, understanding, and translating spoken or written statements from one language to another. Reproduce statements in another language for unique listening or reading audience.

 


Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Professional experience working in a multinational company (min. 3 years).
  • A deep understanding of their role as a key communicator in the Chinese culture that enables our teams to deliver remarkable communication to our contact person.
  • Proven experience of Chinese protocol.
  • A high level of expertise on keys to intercultural communication when doing business in China.
  • Expert in Intercultural communication from a general perspective.
  • Champions in the specificities of intercultural business management in China beyond the concept of guanxi: human and professional relationships.
  • Masters in non-verbal language, greetings and presentations.
  • Fluent in Chinese Mandarin and English in both oral and written communications.
  • Bachelor’s degree or above.
  • Willingness to travel upon need (less than 10% of the time)
