Job Description

Job Summary

The Bellman Captain is responsible for supervising the bell team and ensuring exceptional guest service from arrival to departure. This role coordinates luggage handling, guest assistance, transportation requests, and daily bell desk operations while maintaining the highest standards of hospitality and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of Bellmen and Doormen.
  • Welcome guests upon arrival and ensure a smooth check-in experience.
  • Oversee luggage handling, storage, delivery, and retrieval in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Assist guests with transportation arrangements, valet services, and local information.
  • Ensure prompt response to guest requests and inquiries.
  • Maintain accurate records of luggage storage and guest deliveries.
  • Train, coach, and evaluate bell staff to ensure service standards are met.
  • Monitor staff schedules, attendance, and performance.
  • Coordinate with Front Office, Concierge, Housekeeping, and Security departments.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and escalate issues when necessary.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the bell desk, lobby, and luggage storage areas.
  • Follow hotel policies, safety procedures, and service standards.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality or customer service experience is an advantage.
  • Fluent in English with good verbal communication skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to safely lift, carry, and transport heavy luggage.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of local attractions and transportation services.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends and public holidays.
