We are now looking for a Bar Supervisor to join our brand-new team at Radisson RED Reykjavik.

Our Sky Bar will be at the heart of the hotel’s energy, offering guests a vibrant, wine-led experience paired with breathtaking views over Reykjavík.
As Bar Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in bringing this to life - leading the team on shift, creating atmosphere and ensuring every guest interaction is as memorable as the setting.
Job Description
As a Bar Supervisor, you combine hands-on service with confident leadership. You are responsible for the smooth running of the bar during your shift, ensuring high standards, great energy and a seamless guest experience at all times.
You thrive in a fast-paced, social environment and have a passion for creating memorable moments. With a strong focus on our wine-led Sky Bar, but also supporting our ground floor bar, you’ll lead by example, support your team and help shape a bar experience that guests won’t forget. You will:
- Lead the bar operation during your shift, ensuring smooth, efficient and high-quality service
- Act as the go-to person for the team, supporting, coaching and motivating colleagues throughout the shift
- Deliver an engaging, wine-led bar experience, confidently recommending and serving beverages to guests
- Create a vibrant and welcoming atmosphere, bringing personality and energy to every interaction
- Ensure excellent guest service, handling feedback and resolving challenges with a positive, solution-focused approach
- Support stock control, inventory management and ordering processes
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, hygiene and licensing regulations
- Work closely with the Food & Beverage Manager and Front of House team to ensure seamless service across the hotel
- Step in and support other areas when needed, contributing to the overall Front of House experience
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a bar or Food & Beverage role; supervisory experience is an advantage
- Knowledge or interest in wine is highly desirable
- Strong leadership skills with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach
- A passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences
- A natural host with confidence and personality
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A positive, Yes I Can! attitude and flexible approach to work
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-energy environment
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- Fluent in English; knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage
