- Achieves budgeted goals by executing sales activities within assigned market segment.
- Assists in the development of annual sales goals.
- Assists in the completion of monthly booking report.
- Ensures own function operates within cost restraints.
- Maintains effective correspondence.
- Meets budgeted sales and profit margins for group business, by soliciting, selling, and confirming business as required.
- Develops data and recommends programs to meet clients’ needs.
- Prepares proposals with the Director of Sales that are geared to maximize profit while satisfying guest needs.
- Utilizes the “Winning Edge” sales techniques.
- Solicits files on a timely basis to confirm business.
- Uses outside sales calls to solicit existing and new guests.
- Conducts on-site client inspections and entertainment weekly.
- Contacts in-house guests to foster additional business, repeat bookings, or referrals to other Radisson Hotels.
- Coordinates activities related to booked business with other departments.
- Communicates guests requests to all departments in an effective and timely manner.
- Ensures maximum occupancy on a daily basis by performing follow-ups on progress of groups booked with Front Office.
- Increases sales volume and profitability by assisting in developing and executing projects for assigned market areas as stated in the Hotel Marketing Plan.
- Keeps Sales Department informed of group booking status.
- Communicates with Front Office Manager all group VIP’s for appropriate service.
- Ensures all reservations are tracked correctly for statistical purposes.
- Liaises with the Accounts Payable Department regarding credit issues.
- Practices ‘Yes I Can’ attitude
- Adheres to RHG’s Responsible Business ethics
- Bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of hotel sales experience, preferably within a 5-star or luxury hotel.
- Proven experience in corporate sales, leisure sales, local accounts, and travel trade.
- Strong track record of achieving sales targets and generating room and other hotel revenues.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators, and key accounts.
- Experience in business development, client acquisition, and account management.
- Ability to conduct sales calls, client visits, hotel inspections, and presentations.
- Good knowledge of the local hospitality market and competitor activities.
- Professional appearance, positive attitude, and a strong commitment to 5-star service standards.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hotel sales/CRM systems.
- Excellent command of English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to travel locally and attend client meetings and networking activities when required.
