We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our upcoming vibrant Radisson RED Reykjavik.

As Accountant, you'll be a key player in our hotel's financial operations ensuring everything runs smoothly behind the scenes while we create unforgettable guest experiences out front. You'll work closely with our Cluster Business Controller, contribute to reporting, and help shape a solid financial foundation for this brand-new property. 

Main responsibilities include: 

• Support day-to-day accounting operations and financial process controls

• VAT and City Tax handling, local statistics reporting 

• Fixed asset registration and inventory control 

• Processing and tracking refunds 

• Performing spot checks on cash and stock 

• Month-end closing support (e.g., accruals, fees, FFE reserve, USAH reporting) 

• Monthly balance sheet reconciliations (e.g., assets, inventory, loans, equity) 

• Intercompany reconciliation with hotel ownership 

• Assist with internal and external audits

• Degree in finance, accounting, or a related field 

• 4-5 years of professional experience in a similar accounting role, ideally within the hotel industry 

• Hands-on approach with a can-do work style 

• Solid understanding of local accounting standards and regulations 

• Meticulous, organized, and analytical mindset 

• Solution-oriented with a hands-on, proactive approach 

• Strong communication skills 

• Professional proficiency in English required. Good knowledge of Icelandic is an advantage.
