You take ownership of your station, maintain consistency in preparation and presentation, and support the kitchen team in creating memorable dining experiences for every guest. With 281 comfortable rooms, 19 versatile meeting rooms, and one large ballroom, we host a wide range of conferences, meetings, and international events. Key Responsibilities:
- Take ownership of your assigned kitchen section and ensure all dishes are prepared and presented according to the hotel’s quality and hygiene standards.
- Support the preparation and service of breakfast, lunch, and dinner, ensuring consistency and efficiency during every service.
- Contribute to the delivery of Meetings & Events, ensuring high-quality food for conferences, events, and large groups.
- Assist in providing meals for stranded airline passengers, maintaining flexibility and speed during unexpected high-demand situations typical for an airport hotel.
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure smooth operations during busy service periods.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in line with HACCP and food safety standards.
- Support stock control, proper storage, and minimizing food waste within your section.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to work morning and evening shifts, including weekends and public holidays, depending on operational needs.
- Contribute ideas to improve dishes, efficiency, and the overall guest dining experience.
What you bring:
- Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie, in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Passion for cooking with strong attention to detail, quality, and presentation.
- Good command of English; Dutch is considered a plus.
- Able to adapt to the dynamic nature of an airport hotel environment, including supporting operations during unexpected high demand such as stranded passenger situations.
- Experience or interest in banqueting and Meetings & Events catering is a plus.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards
