ABOUT THE ROLE
Kigali Convention Centre & Radisson Blu Hotel is seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Meetings & Events Sales Manager to lead the acquisition and conversion of meetings, conferences, exhibitions, and social events in one of Africa’s premier convention destinations.
This role is central to maximizing Meetings & Events revenue, driving conversion of large-scale opportunities, and positioning the hotel and convention Centre as the venue of choice for international, regional, and local events.
All activities are carried out in line with Radisson Hotel Group standards and brand guidelines.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Drive Meetings & Events sales revenue in line with the approved annual budget and forecasts.
- Proactively source, qualify, and convert MICE opportunities, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate meetings, and social events.
- Prepare and present commercial proposals, quotations, and event offers in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Negotiate event terms including:
- Venue hire and packages
- Room blocks and group rates
- Cancellation, attrition, and payment terms
- Conduct site inspections, client presentations, and venue show-arounds.
- Manage and grow relationships with:
- Corporate clients
- Associations
- Government institutions
- NGOs, PCOs, and event organizers
- Work closely with Events Operations, Group Sales, Reservations, Revenue Management, and Finance teams to ensure seamless handovers and event execution.
- Maintain accurate records of all leads, opportunities, and confirmed business in the hotel’s sales and CRM systems.
- Represent the hotel at trade shows, networking events, and sales missions.

REQUIRED PROFILE
- Minimum 4 years’ experience in hotel Meetings & Events sales.
- Proven experience handling large-scale conferences and complex MICE events.
- Experience within an international hotel brand is a strong advantage.
- Strong commercial negotiation and presentation skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Strong planning, organization, and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Opera PMS, sales/CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
- A proactive, results-driven professional with a “Yes, I Can!” service mindset.
- Able to understand and work within Country culture
