- Reports for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform, name tag at all times
- Ensure the safety of key
- Ensures that Guest Rooms are cleaned thoroughly, Brand Standards are maintained at all times and makes the necessary arrangements in guest’s rooms.
- Informs the Supervisor, if floral arrangements need to be replenished.
- Inspects all facilities, furniture and fixtures, reports any damage to the Supervisor or coordinator for action and follow up.
- Attends to guest’s requests and queries courteously and promptly.
- Ensures that the work sheet is correctly filled out, marking the room status (occupied, check-out, vacant, “Do Not Disturb”, Late Departure etc.) and time cleaned.
- Ensures that the Supervisor is informed immediately of any unusual incidents, complaints, and unauthorized persons in the room or along the guest corridors, missing or damaged Hotel properties and lost and found items.
- Ensures that the guest corridors, lift landings, service toilets and pantries are cleaned regularly.
- Provides a turn down service, as per the standard required by the hotel.
- Ensure that Housekeeping Pantries are stocked in the evening, before going off duty for the following day (Guest supplies and Linen).
- Ensures that all cleaning equipment are cleaned and in working order and stored in the correct place.
- Ensures that all housekeeping pantries are neat and tidy at all times.
- Knows the fire and safety procedures of the hotel.
- Participates in multi skilling in the housekeeping department.
- Minimum education O Levels / Certificate in Housekeeping.
- At least 2 years’ experience in Rooms and Public Areas.
- Good knowledge of the housekeeping operations.
- Have excellent English communication skills both in written and spoken.
- Strong interpersonal, communication
Health and safety:
- Follow the Hotel health and safety policies.
- Practice safe work habits.
- Use protective equipment and clothing, if necessary.
- Inform your employer of any hazards without delay and remove them yourself if it is safe to do so.
- Take care not to interfere with or misuse anything provided for your health, safety or welfare
- Refrain from smoking in undesignated areas
- Protect the environment by saving energy, water and reduce waste
- Ensure Energy saving measures and practices are well maintained and any misuse is immediately reported to be corrected.
- Able to understand and work within Country culture
