Job Description

We are currently seeking a Catering Operations Manager to join our vibrant team. As a Catering Operations Manager, you bring an exceptional level of ambition, a results-driven mindset, and a genuine passion for crafting extraordinary experiences for our clients. Your expertise and dedication will play a pivotal role in elevating our Meetings and Events Team to new heights.

  • Manages the catering operations team, supporting the Director of F&B in implementing training plans, coaching, and mentoring team members to achieve high performance.
  • Maximizes revenue by proactively receiving and converting catering enquiries. 
  • Supports sales efforts by analyzing current business, identifying lost opportunities, and generating new leads to build a robust events diary.
  • Upholds a high level of accurate and timely communication with all internal departments (kitchen, logistics, service) and external partners (venue managers, cruise operators) to ensure flawless event execution.
  • Takes ownership of the end-to-end client experience. 
  • Follows up with clients post-event to determine satisfaction, measures results, and implements strategies to continuously improve service quality.
  • Fosters a proactive sales and service culture within the team to achieve all budgeted revenues and expand our presence in the corporate and cruise event markets.
  • Oversees all catering inventory, from kitchen equipment to service ware, ensuring optimal stock levels, proper maintenance, and efficient logistics for diverse outdoor venues.
  • Manages procurement, monitors inventory costs, and minimizes waste to uphold budgetary targets and profitability for all events.
  • Coordinates with suppliers and rental companies to secure necessary equipment and manage the timely delivery, setup, and retrieval of assets at all event locations.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in all Meeting & Events procedures to be a resource when needed.
  • A proven track record in a similar role within a quality environment and to be able to demonstrate excellent standards and team member management.
  • Commercially aware.
  • Driven and ambitious to inspire the team to consistently deliver and exceed service standard.
  • Clear thinker with excellent communication abilities and attention to detail
