Park Inn by Radisson Amsterdam City West is a vibrant and colourful hotel with an integrated Congress Center, offering 476 rooms and 21 meeting rooms, including a spacious ballroom with capacity for up to 700 guests in theatre style, as well as a unique rooftop event space. Conveniently located next to Amsterdam Sloterdijk station, the hotel is easily accessible by both public transport and car. Designed by the renowned designer Karim Rashid, the hotel is part of the iconic VEN complex, sharing the building with Holland Casino, LimeHome apartments, World of Karaoke and Restaurant Azura. As a Meeting & Events Planner, you will be the bridge between sales and the execution of our meetings and conferences. Once our sales colleagues have sold an event, the M&E Planning department takes over, and you will ensure everything is perfectly organized. From processing details to coordinating last-minute changes, you will keep everything in hand.

Our focus is on the corporate market, where you will be responsible for flawlessly organizing meetings, conferences, and events in our Meeting & Events Academy. With 20 modern meeting rooms and a spacious ballroom for up to 750 guests and a unique rooftop space, you offer every client a seamless and professional experience.

What the job involves:
In essence, you ensure that everything agreed upon contractually runs smoothly at the hotel. This means:

• Guiding site visits for potential clients/guests;
• Carefully planning meetings and events;
• Knowing (or willing to learn) how to quickly implement last-minute changes;
• Having preparatory conversations with the on-site contact person;
• Ensuring that the operational departments (such as kitchen, F&B, Front Office, Housekeeping) are aware of agreements and details;
• Making sure every booker, contact person, or guest leaves satisfied and eager to book with us again;
• Solving problems and handling complaints with the M&E Planning Manager.

What you bring:

• A completed education in hotel/event management at HBO level, or related field;
• Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken. A second language is a plus;
• You are proficient in Office programs, are comfortable with a PMS system, and can quickly learn new systems;
• Preferably experience in banquet sales within the 4- or 5-star hotel industry;
• Problem-solving skills, the ability to easily make new contacts, a social character, and the ability to work well in a team.
