Job Description

  • Inspect, maintain, and repair kitchen equipment such as ovens, stoves, grills, refrigerators, freezers, dishwashers, exhaust systems, etc.

  • Maintain and service laundry equipment including washers, dryers, steamers, and ironers.

  • Perform preventive maintenance according to schedules to avoid equipment breakdowns.

  • Quickly respond to urgent repair requests from kitchen and housekeeping departments.

  • Diagnose faults in electrical and mechanical systems and perform necessary repairs or recommend replacements.

  • Coordinate with vendors for specialized repairs or parts procurement.

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and fire regulations related to electrical and gas-powered appliances.

  • Maintain documentation of maintenance activities and equipment history.

  • Assist in installation and setup of new equipment when required.

  • Keep maintenance tools and workshop area clean and organized.

Qualifications

  • Technical diploma or certification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Refrigeration trades.

  • 2–3 years of relevant experience in a hotel or commercial kitchen/laundry environment.

  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and gas systems related to commercial equipment.

  • Ability to read and understand equipment manuals, technical diagrams, and schematics.

  • Basic computer skills for reporting and maintenance logs.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently under pressure.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

  • Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and be on-call if needed.
