Job Description

WE ARE ON THE LOOK OUT FOR a REDtabulous Creative aka General Technician to join our incREDible Engineering team here @Radisson RED

What we expect from you:

MAIN DUTIES:

  1. Attends to all repair and maintenance of various electrical systems.
  2. Responsible for servicing and attending to repairs on various types of electrical equipment such as laundry equipment, kitchen equipment, heating, ventilating and air conditioning equipment, including motors, pumps, fans, water treatment plants, sewage treatment plant and electricity generators.
  3. Attends to repairs and maintenance of electrical circuits in all areas.
  4. Attends to Preventive Maintenance on electrical panels/ equipment.
  5. Operates Audio, Video and TV equipment as requested.
  6. Advises on improvements to present electrical systems.
  7. Carries out weekly fire alarm test.
  8. Carries out monthly fire extinguisher check.
  9. Participates in Energy Conservation Programme.
  10. Ensures that the Plant Room, workshop and related areas are kept in a clean and tidy condition.
  11. Attends to all types of repair and maintenance work including any new additional/ extensions

OCCASIONAL DUTIES:

    1. Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
    2. Interacts - Cooperates with others in the Engineering Department.
    3. Interacts with other departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions and festivities.

GENERAL DUTIES:

  1. Attends meeting or training sessions as required by management.
  2. Is conversant with:
    • The Hotel Fire Procedures
    • The Hotel and Company Security Procedures
    • The Hotel Health and safety policy and Procedures
    • The Hotel Facilities and Attractions
    • Current Licensing Regulations (Engineering Department only)
    • Methods of payment accepted by the Company (Cash Handling Staff only)
    • Hotel operation standards and departmental procedures
    • Short and Long term Training procedures
  3. Maintain a safe and hygienic work environment.

Qualifications:

  1. Strong HVAC Background
